Trent McMasters



Brewer Community-Holder Trent McMasters, 35, met his Creator on July 11, 2018 at his residence in the Brewer Community. Trent was a world class outdoorsman and gentle soul. He loved all God’s creation and spent much of his life in the woods and on the creeks, lakes and waterways of this area hunting, fishing, being a master conservationist, watching the various birds, fowl, wildlife, critters and creatures move in their natural environments and interact with each other and civilization. He loved feeding the birds and deer of the wild. Trent loved his dogs, was a master gardener, loved to till the soil and- like all Homan’s of this area, was a beekeeper and raised honey bees. He loved mowing and manicuring his yard and the tending the family property in Brewer. A former employee of Tupelo Water and Light before becoming disabled due to seizures, Trent was a kind, loving soul who cared greatly for his family, all animals and the greater community of Brewer. He was born on December 4, l982 in Tupelo to Johnny McMasters and Lynn Homan McMasters and graduated from Shannon High School in 2001. He was christened at the Brewer United Methodist Church where he attended all his life.

A service celebrating his life will be held at 11 AM Saturday, July 14, 2018 at the Brewer United Methodist Church with Pastor, Rev. Chad Bowen officiating and Chancery Clerk Bill Benson singing. A graveside will follow in the Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 PM-7PM today (Friday, 7/13/18) at Holland Funeral Directors-Tupelo Chapel. Visitation on Sat will be from 10-AM-service time at the Church.

Survivors include his parents, Lynn Homan McMasters and Johnny McMasters; his brother, Trey McMasters and his maternal grandparents, Holder and Joyce Homan all of Brewer; his paternal grandfather, John McMasters, Sr. of Shannon. His uncles, Richard McMasters and Tony Homan (Wanda), several cousins and a host of friends in the Brewer Community.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Charlene McMasters.
Pallbearers will be Tony, Tyler and Toby Homan, Andy Sisk, Cory Bishop, Jacob Bailey and Jason Estes.
