Alexis Brianna “Alex” Holland, 20, and her boyfriend, Hank Potmesil, 21, died Sunday morning, January 7, 2018 as the result of a single car motor vehicle accident on Hwy 6 south of Nettleton. Alex was born in Amory on January 15, 1997 to Brian J. Holland and Brandie Tom Holland. She lived her whole life in Nettleton. Alex was a vivacious young lady who loved life, loved her family and was a mother hen to her siblings, Blaze and Allison. She loved big get-togethers with family and friends and cherished and was devoted to her boyfriend, Hank. Alex was the glue that held her family together. Her quick wit and contagious laughter are legendary and she was beautiful inside and out. She loved animals especially her dog, Leo. Alex was outspoken, independent and did not mind speaking her opinion. She enjoyed reading her Bible and professed a deep love of God. She will be missed by all who were beneficiaries of her generous spirit, her devoted smile and the magnetism of her wonderful personality.
A joint service celebrating both she and Hank’s life will be held at 11 AM today (Tue. 1/9/17) at the Crosspoint Fellowship, 265A Metts Road, Nettleton with Bro. Tommy Ray Dabbs and Bro. I have not met Alexis or her family but my heart goes out to all of you. We lost our beautiful granddaughter Carson to a car accident 2 years ago and our hearts are still broken. My prayers are that you feel the comfort that only our precious Lord can give you. One of my most favorite verses is Psalms 30:5 For his anger endureth but a moment;in his favor is life; weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.
