Mary Carolyn Cherry



Saltillo - Mrs. Mary Carolyn Cherry, 72, died Friday, June 22, 2018 at North MS Medical Center following a brief illness. She was born December 5, 1945 in Natchez, MS, to Oliver Wilds Koerber and Mary Carolyn Neal Koerber. At the time of her death, Mary was employed by North MS Medical Center where she had worked for more than 16 years. She was a dedicated employee and dearly loved her pharmacy family.
Mary was a longtime member of Aberdeen First Pentecostal Church and in recent years attended The Orchard with her family. She enjoyed reading and all types of arts and crafts. She was a loving mother, active and devoted grandmother.
A service celebrating Mary’s life will be at 11 AM, Monday, June 25, 2018, in the Tupelo Chapel of Holland Funeral Directors with Bro. Ricky Bowen of Aberdeen First Pentecostal Church officiating. Private burial will follow in the Masonic Cemetery in Amory. Visitation will be Sunday from 4 PM to 6 PM and Monday from 10 AM to service time.
Survivors include her three daughters, Percy Boyd (Robert Dutton) of Odenville, AL, Libby Kirkpatrick (Ben) and Veronica Cherry Palmer, all of Saltillo; one brother, George Koerber of Brandon; nine grandchildren, Trellis Blanton, Maria Reed, Ashley Blake Owens, Jordyn Owens, Chloe Mabus, Emily Mabus, Tanner Owens, Jackson Mabus, Rylee Palmer, Reed Kirkpatrick, and Kristen Bennett; four great-grandchildren, R.J. Reed, Adaleigh Gann, Presly Rainey, and Jase Bennett. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Ronald Cherry who died September 4, 1991, and a grandchild, Korben Mabus.
Honorary pallbearers will be her associates at North MS Medical Center.
