Nettleton – Mr. Roger Craig Trott, 69, died suddenly, Monday, March 5, 2018. He was born in International Falls, Minnesota, to Ross Trott and Norma Monrean Trott. He was a graduate of International Falls High School and graduated trade school in Staples, MN. He married his wife of 47 years, Jennie Frank on May 2, 1970. He was a patriotic man, serving the U.S. Army during peace time. Roger and Jennie moved to Nettleton in 1992 and worked as a machinist for Wey Valve Manufacturing in Shannon.
Roger was gifted and enjoyed many talents, working with his hands, to include wood-working, gardening, and cooking. He was an excellent chef, preparing family meals during the holidays and other special occasions. He enjoyed being outdoors, fishing and hunting. He loved helping others and never met a stranger. Roger’s most prized accomplishment was his family. He loved teaching his grandsons how to do things. He was a dedicated member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Tupelo.
A service celebrating Roger’s life, with military honors, will be at 11 AM, Friday, March 9, 2018 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with Bishop Matthew Westcott officiating. Private burial will follow in Verona City Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 5 PM to 8 PM at the Tupelo Chapel of Holland Funeral Directors. Survivors include his wife, Jennie Trott of Nettleton; two sons, Craig Roger Trott (Jodi) of Nettleton, and Chadwick Trott of International Falls, MN; two daughters, Valerie Olson (Kurtis) of Saltillo, and Melissa Vellieux of International Falls, MN; brother, Donald Trott (Joani) of Guntown; sister, Joyce Scott (Darrel) of Fort Frances, Ontario; ten grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Larry Trott.
Pallbearers will be Kurtis Olson, Hunter Olson, Parker Olson, Spencer Olson, Tristan Trott, and Mark Westcott.

Jennie, I am so sorry to hear of Roger’s passing. I will always have great memories of the years he and I worked together.
