Sid Archibald
Tupelo – Mr. Sidney “Sid” Keith Archibald, 81, died Sunday, January 21, 2018 at his daughter’s residence in Tupelo, MS where he had lived for the past sixteen years. He was born April 10, 1936 in Centerville, IA, the youngest of 9 children born to Jim and Nancy Johnson Archibald. He earned his Associate’s Degree at Drake University in DeMoine, IA. Sid was patriotic, serving in the U.S. Army during peacetime. He lived in various parts of the U.S. including Colorado and New Mexico, while working as a carpenter constructing commercial buildings. He was a member of the Carpenter’s Union. He was an avid Hawkeye fan.
Sid is survived by his daughter, Stephanie Archibald of Tupelo, MS; his brother, Richard Archibald of Iowa; his grandson, William Archibald of Plantersville, MS, and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.
