Samuel Cole Smith



Sherman – Mr. Samuel Cole Smith, 34, died Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at University of Tennessee Methodist Hospital in Memphis. He was born in Columbus, MS on May 16, 1982 to Jim Smith and Donna Jean Bagwell Smith. He worked for Sportsman Lawn and Landscaping and enjoyed all types of art and music. He frequently said, “life is one big party”, and he enjoyed living it. He was very fond of his dog, Sam, and enjoyed spending time with him.
A service celebrating his life will be at 6:00 p.m., Monday, May 8, 2017 in the Tupelo Chapel of Holland Funeral Directors with Bro. Earl McAnally officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 5:00 p.m. to service time.
Survivors include his loving mother, Donna Smith of Tupelo and father, Jim Smith of Columbus; grandmother, Maxine Bagwell of New Albany; brothers, Darby Smith (Jodie) of Long Beach, Ben Smith (Tiffany) of Saltillo, and Daral Smith of Columbus; sister, Amy Knight of Columbus, and half-sister, Sarah of Laurel; special friend, Amy Mims of Sherman and her son, Tyler; a host of aunts and uncles; a special niece and buddy, Taylor as well as nieces, Gracie, Aubrey, Mallory, and Sissy; nephews, Aiden, A.J., Nash, Taylor, and Alex. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Travis Bagwell and paternal grandparents, Reno Smith and Sue Copeland.
