Larry K. Taylor



Tupelo – Mr. Larry Kenyon Taylor, 64, died suddenly, Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at North MS Medical Center. He was born December 30, 1952 in Tupelo, MS to Ed C. Taylor and Velma Hood Taylor. He worked many years as a self-employed truck driver and construction worker. He was an avid coffee drinker and was very fond of his dogs. He was retired and enjoyed his CB radio, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren, whom he loved dearly.
A celebration of life service will be Friday, May 5, 2017, at 1:00 p.m. in the Tupelo Chapel of Holland Funeral Directors with Bro. Kenneth Gentry officiating. Private burial will follow at Dorsey Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 11:00 a.m. to service time. Condolences to the family may be e-mailed to
Survivors include his son, Tommy Taylor (Heather) of Verona; daughter, Glenda Ruiz (Hector of Mantachie; brother, James Taylor (Mary) of Zion, ILL; sister, Dot Dickerson (David) of Mooreville; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; a special friend, Mary Whitehead of Tupelo, and a host of other near relatives and extended family. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Teresa Taylor of Nashville, TN; brothers, MurlTaylor, Cortez Taylor, Willard Taylor, and Carlton Taylor; sisters, Polly Creekmore and LaNell Jones.

Pallbearers will be Danny Taylor, Michael Taylor, Hector Ruiz, Terry Lewis, Chris Ethridge, and Dillan Phillips. Honorary pallbearer will be John Harris, Jr.
