The angles came to carry him home on April 22, 2017 at his home in Uvalde, Texas reaching the age of 77 years. His childhood was spent living in many different places. Because of this he made many lasting friends.

He was baptized on November 11, 1951 by Minister Ervin Nightingale in Scott City, Kansas. After attending many schools he finished his High School education in Montezuma, Kansas. His service days were spent in Downey, California.

On May 12, 1968 he married Gloria Peaster from Winton, California by Minister Jesse Koehn, making their home in Livingston Congregation. They were blessed with one daughter and three sons.

Verle was a man whose relationship with the Lord was utmost in heart and mind and truly longed for heaven, but loved life while he was on Earth. He loved farming and building. He was a builder from his youth and moved from California to Mississippi to farm in 1976. But in his later years went back to building. He spent the last few years of his life in Uvalde, Texas. Dad loved singing, and passed that quality on to his children.

He was ordained to the deaconry in 1982 and served many years. Dad was interested in people. He wanted to know their story and if they were happy. And he always pointed people to the Lord.

His family was precious to him and his grandchildren had a very special place in his heart. He prayed for his family every day naming each one in his prayer.

Those left to cherish precious memories are his wife, Gloria; daughter Shana, Versailles, Missouri; and three sons: John, Tupelo Mississippi; Kale and Lynnette, Ontario, Oregon; Darin and Misty, Uvalde, Texas; grandchildren Johnna, Chelsea, Leighton, Wilkerson, Abigail, Angelina, Wyatt, Blakely, Braxton and Kinley; three brother: Delbert and Velma Buller, Cyrus, Minnesota; Don and Kathryn Buller, Stover, Missouri; Floyd and Pat Buller, Amarillo, Texas; one sister Wilda and Sid Nightengale, Atwater, California; Two brothers-in-law Larry and Verna Peaster; Clayton, Wisconsin; Dale and Sherie Peaster; Okolona, Mississippi; one sister-in-law Marilyn Buller, Kidron, Ohio.
