Palmetto-Edith Marie Hood Stegall, 81, died Sunday, April 16, 2017 at her residence after an extended illness. A service celebrating her life will be held at 3 PM Thursday, April 20, 2017 at the Tupelo Chapel of Holland Funeral Directors with Dr. David Hamilton and Bro. Larry Dunlap officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Pontotoc County. Visitation will be from 4 PM-7PM Wednesday and from 2 PM-service time Thursday all at Holland-Tupelo chapel. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, Miss. Chapter, 1380 Livingston Lane, Jackson, MS. 38213 or to Sanctuary Hospice House, P. O. Box 2177, Tupelo, MS. 38802. Betty has a wonderful daughter, Kelly, whom I dearly care about. I can tell that Betty was a great Mom, she has a wonderful daughter and son in law and grandchildren here in the Washington DC area.
